"Erin is one of the best coaches out there. She started her career as a walk on at North Carolina so she found rowing as a second sport after soccer. Erin genuinely cares about cultivating a team culture that is elite, supportive, and bought into from the top all the way down. She is an excellent leader, and genuinely cares about her athletes as people. We oftentimes have office hours that have nothing to do with rowing. She will give it to you straight- which I very much appreciate, and has a strong vision of what needs to happen to get UNC to be a nationally relevant school. She always pushes the team and it’s easy to follow her, great on the water coach, will work with any kid on the team not just the 1v and goes out with the lower boats sometimes to make sure she has eyes on everyone. Very flexible, no bs type of lady. She’s awesome and I would choose to be on a team with her over and over again. She also works very very hard with recruiting to make sure the right people are coming in. "
