"Very old school. Plays a 1970's-80's style of basketball which is awful to watch (and play) and not effective in today's game. Doesn't get the most out of his players. Hasn't changed his style and philosophy as the game has changed and evolved. Doesn't understand effective field goal percentage at all. Incorrectly compares 2 PT shooters and 3 PT shooters efficiency using straight FG percentage rather than eFG percentage (which gives the accurate comparison taking into account that a 3 PT shot gives you 1.5 times more points than a 2 PT shot.) Still plays a boring, half-court game with way too much dribbling and very little passing and ball movement."

"He really doesn’t care about his players at all. He has a few favorites and even those that get a lot of playtime don’t like him. He’s been known to be abusive (physically and mentally) and I’ve watched it happen. He is “a man of God” which is a cover for being abusive to his players. He’s a winning coach so the university protects him. But there’s no reason to deal with a guy like this at a D2 school. "
