"I still have nightmares from the psychological abuse he put me and my teammates through, many of whom gave up their scholarships and quit the team because the AD did nothing to protect them. There are so many stories I’d like to share but can’t without identifying myself and I’m not ready for that. So I’ll share what I can. First of all, he wasn’t a good coach in the sense he didn’t know what he was doing. We never went over strategic game plays, lifted weights, talked about opponents to prepare for games, reviewed game tapes, etc. We were not competitive compared to other teams in our conference who were doing all those things, which was a shame because there were talented players on our team. They never maximized their potential because they were too afraid of our couch. He talked down to us, broke us down instead of motivating us. We walked on eggshells, not wanting to make single mistake to set him off. He was an authority, not a coach. He would scream at us until he was red in the face and players were crying. He’d make us run for hours even before a big game for no good reason other than he was in a bad mood or didn’t like something we did off the field and that had nothing to do with soccer. He ruined soccer for a lot of women. It’s sad to think he’s still coaching at Rockhurst."
