"I've experienced bad coaches, and then I have experienced Christopher Hennessey. This was a coach who completely made me lose my mind and question my identity not only as a player, but as a person. Though he is relatively new to the program at South Alabama, there has still been more turnover than there ever should be in a college program. He is a coach who belittles, gaslights, and absolutely ruins players. I will give it to him that he is knowledgeable about soccer. His practices did help help me tremendously with my technical proficiency. This though, did not matter, as he picks favorites, and never gives chances to others, no matter how hard you work and prove otherwise. He has no care for academics or anything regarding the student side of a "student athlete". Showing dedication to your academia actually seemed discouraged. I recommend that absolutely NO ONE ever plays for this man, no matter how mentally tough you believe that you are. I refer to him as the best car salesman in the world, selling you the best looking car that will end up breaking down on you and costing you everything. He absolutely shattered me, as well as dozens of other young females, even when having two daughters of his own. It took me months to rebuild what this man broke, so save yourself that trouble and look to play somewhere...ANYWHERE else."
