"Coach Wares is extremely transparent and knows the game very well. He makes sure players know there is life outside of softball and prepares you for that. He is extremely competitive, and created a great team culture that creates winners and All-Americans. He built Central College Softball into the program it is today, and has a long history of success. He is currently the winningest coach in division three history, consistently has the team play in post season, and has success in one of the best conferences in the country. He can be intense, but I believe it makes you a stronger, more confident person on and off the field. I can single handedly say I would not be the person I am today without his guidance and him pushing me. He coaches everyone differently to play to your strengths, and knows there isn’t a “cookie cutter” way to be successful. The mental side of the game and life is also very important to him, so in a game where a lot of failure happens, he does a great job preparing you and helping you overcome that. "
