"I transferred to coach Mook after only playing a couple years at a different school. This was the BEST decision of my life. He is a super understanding guy and truly cares about his players. I have sat in his office and cried about things going on in my personal life, and he was there to guide me and see the light at the end of the tunnel. His coaching style is pretty laid back too. As a player, we know what is acceptable and what is not. It is our job to hold ourselves and teammates accountable. He is a very patient person. His dedication and loyalty are 100% to the team. Being a player for him, I don't always agree with every decision he has ever made, but there is one thing I will always agree on with him... He always does what is in the best interest of the team. He wants to win, but always does it the right way. He preaches to us to always respect the game and to work hard, and the game will give back when you need it to. His knowledge is unbelievable about the game of softball. Yes, practices are intense, and yes, we work very hard, but in a good way.
