Poor Communication
"As a former Samford tennis player and athlete, I have more than enough to say about this coach. Where do I begin regarding the abuse my teammates and I received over the years. To spare you the horrific details, I will say this. The school is a good school, but so are so many schools all over the country. This coach is not worth your mental health. These are supposed to be the best four years of your life and I promise you, if you sign under this coach, the next four years of your life will be the most degrading, disrespectful, manipulative, and overall depressive years of your life. They were the most traumatic years I’ve ever experienced and I know my teammates would say the same. Please, contact former players before signing and ask them honest questions. I wish I had this platform before I signed so I could prevent myself from having the worst experience of my life on this team under this coach. The only union and positive thing I can leave with is knowing my teammates and I banned together against him and grew close during the misery. They are my sisters for life and he will forever be one of the worst human beings let alone coaches of all time. "

Poor Communication
"He picks one new recruit each year to ride and attempt to make an example of. His tantrums of breaking racquets during practice are legendary. He develops zero respect or relationships with his players. Team unity is built around the dislike of him. He does not build players up or support them during matches. He’ll attempt to change a player’s equipment to what he believes is best not listening to feedback from their private coaches who developed the player. His coaching style is best described as negative and passive aggressive. He will even go so far as to berate his players during matches. He’s most loyal to coaches that he considers friends. Before you sign look up former players, talk to them, speak to their parents about the experience. Why when you’re in Alabama are there such few recruits from the Atlanta area? Maybe they got wind of his mental abuse. He’ll have one or two players that he’ll put recruits with, don’t believe what you see. While the school is great don’t trust the Compliance office, they will inform him who complained. "
