"Our first year at JWU with a large freshman (baseball) class. Starting season off a little rocky and instead of motivation and help from the coaches, especially Kevin Casey (head) the kids seem to get berated after every loss (e.g., told what an embarrassment they are, how they do not try, etc.). We had higher expectations from college level baseball and have been extremely disappointed. I think it is Casey's 3rd or 4th year and other (older) players indicate this is his style. What is more amazing is that his father (John Casey) is now the pitching coach (but apparently says little in terms of helping the pitchers). JC had retired from Tufts after what appears to be a pretty successful career. I don't know how anyone can coach with such negativity. I suspect there will be some players leaving after this year (there is talk of it halfway through the season). It is sad as JWU is a nice school. "
