"This coach managed to kill the love for a sport that I had been playing for 16 years. She picked favorites and if you were not one of them it did not matter how hard you worked and tried to prove yourself there was nothing you could do. There was zero way to communicate with her as she took everything very personal and immediately went on the defensive. She met with me over a text that was an honest communication of my feelings and cornered me in an office with both coaches where she made me apologize profusely and tore me down about everything I was both on and off the field. When I visited this school before committing she promised support, communication and an understanding of balancing school with sports. In the end she did none of this and left me doubting myself at every turn. I eventually had to do what was best for mental health and leave the program, being so destroyed by my experience that it ended my softball career permanently "
