"Coach Roman is tough yet compassionate. She has very high standards for her student-athletes in the classroom, on the field and in the community. She takes mental health seriously and helps us get the necessary support when needed. As much as she wants us to win on the field, she makes sure it's understood that being a good human being is far more important. I appreciate the many tough lessons from my time as a student-athlete under the tutelage of Coach Roman more now than when I did when I was in college. She isn't for the faint of heart...expect to be pushed but in a supportive environment."
