"There isn't a score low enough to rate this guy. Came in two years ago last minute and on the cheap. Team went from 6th place and rising to dead last this past season. Absolutely no NCAA experience playing hockey. Brags that he played club hockey but missed a lot of games. Also brags about his 1.9 GPA. Saw red flags at the end of season one. Some players complained but the school refused to do anything. This last season was even worse. Overall scoring down, totally divided the team between existing players and freshman he brought in. Morale last two years has been so bad many of the players wanted the season to end at Christmas time. His freshman class think they are super stars and he treats them as such at the expense of more senior players. They mock the senior players, are late or miss practices without consequences. He constantly lies and plays mind games with the players and micromanages players when on the ice. As a result, the players are afraid to play hockey for fear of being benched. When confronted about his mind games the first year, he stated that he liked them and they are here to stay. He admitted he had a spy on the team to inform him of what the other players were saying. Recently gave a very offensive speech at practice comparing his poor upbringing to the players who he said were entitled and had silver spoons with rich parent and have never faced adversity. In the same speech he slammed the University saying that it cost a lot of money to attend ad they would graduate with no jobs. He added that they would not have to worry because their parents would support them. There is much more but the worst one this year was asking one of our players to take out a player on an opposing team. Fortunately, the player ignored him. I was appalled. I have never nor would I ever play for a coach that did that. In the end it was so bad this past year that about half the players, several parents and at least one professor went to the athletic Director with their complaints. The school informed everyone that the school did their own investigation and no changes would be made. Shame, shame on the Athletic Director. For a school that prides itself on academic excellence, this is a big stain on the school, team and players. They all deserve much better. Please do not send your student to Lawrence to play hockey under this coach. they will lose their love of the game. According to Rylee Orr do not send them for the academics. It cost a lot and they will not be able to find a job when they graduate."

"Coach is a bad coach and a bad guy. Super insecure because he didn't play NCAA hockey and resents his own players. Has no business being a head coach. 2 seasons took a team that was getting better in 6th and is now in last. One league win. Never takes any responsibility. Can't make adjustments. Lies all the time. He talks trash about guys to other guys in the room. He buys guys off and tries to turn them against each other, which just wrecks the room. Wants fights in practice. The mental abuse, mind games, bag skates, all 5am practices, the threats. Anyone who speaks up gets punished. And the school doesn't care at all. "
