"Coach Belle has a good heart but consistently put her personal issues onto her players. When she got stressed about our record she would try to guilt trip us by saying she had a family to support. While I sympathize with her, that is not the player's responsibility. The program she described during recruitment and the program I came into were completely different. She wanted "open and honest" communication but anytime I communicated something that didn't completely align with her point of view she shut me down. She really tried her best but she is not fit to be a head coach yet in my opinion. She also was unable to understand the academic demands of an Ivy League school. She didn't believe in midterms and called them just normal tests. Last time I checked, a test that's 25% of your grade halfway through the term is in fact a midterm. She did not respect our time. She gave us a flow chart at the beginning of the year that listed the proper channels of communication players had to go through. There was no direct line to our head coach, so many players were under the impression we had to make an appointment with her if we wanted to chat. She later became upset that we weren’t coming in to see her when we were all just following the guidelines she put forth. MANY players quit the team during her tenure at Dartmouth. She is a good person but not a good coach. "
