"Cody was a great coach who recruited great players. Those players are all leaving now, at least the ones that can. The problem was new recruits with better talent began to replace players who were not putting forth the effort. Since Cody left sessions went down in intensity and seriousness. We we completely trained to win the conference. It really didn’t matter who was coaching. But less players actually played minutes after Cody left. But what does it matter as long as substandard players get to play who wouldn’t work during the season. Many of the players who did quit, couldn’t pass the pre season fit test. Still, they believed they had a right to start. It’s sad. My suggestion is to look at our team roster now and see how many are there next year. Then the truth will be known. I will be surprised if they have a team because I won’t be there! "

"I have the opportunity to watch Coach Bartlow join a directionless soccer program and turn it into a championship program. He is demanding and sets high goals but he sees potential in his players/teams and coaches them to be their best. This is tough for some player to hear. Coach Bartlow is not easy but often equates soccer to life as he coaches effort and decision-making as key components to success on the pitch and off. "

"I’ve never had a coach care so much about me as a person. If you truly want to play competitive he’s the coach for you. If you want everything handed to you and don’t want to work maybe look elsewhere. He cares about us as people and cares about your mental health. He gives Mental Health Days that you can take no question asked, he gives us the opportunity to show pride in ourselves and others, He’s built a great program bc he believes in people. His biggest fault may be that too as people take for granted his rare that truly is. I will choose to play for Cody every chance I get. "

"His team won the conference championship tonight. Funny how all the “favorites” were the ones on the field playing. His favorites are those that work hard, buy into the culture and play for one another and the program. The best coach I’ve ever had hands down. I’ll fight for him till the end!"

"Cody truly changed my life. I can truly say that Cody and soccer saved my life. In the last 2 years of knowing Cody I have learned more about the game and myself as a player than in my entire life leading up to then. I had the most fun playing for Cody then since I was a little kid. He taught me how to play to my strengths and always reaffirmed with me that I would not be where I was if I wasn't good enough. Cody is the coach that sees you, even if you don't want to truly see you. "

"When Cody and I first met, it was during the first week of preseason at the NAIA school I played at. He was watching and supporting the team. He joined the team as my assistant coach the next year, and he not only helped me develop as a soccer player but also as a person. He demonstrated for me what it takes to be a coach and the value of culture, perseverance, and patience in creating a successful program. Though I wasn't receptive to new ideas as a player, he was very understanding and forced me to consider the things I was doing in my personal life as well as on the pitch. Coaches that help you get better for the game while also providing you with practical advice on real-world scenarios and how to handle them are coaches I always appreciate. Cody Bartlow has always struck me as kind, imaginative, hardworking, honest, modest, patient, and full of ambition. Cody's adaptability, communication, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills have all improved over the past four years. With these developed skills, Cody will undeniablly succeed. When it comes to honesty, Coach Cody is the kind of person who will always tell you the truth in the most polite way imaginable. He prepares athletes for what is to come in the future. Despite the fact that we live in different states, he consistently shows that he is reachable, so I know I can always rely on him. I'm grateful for everything he has taught me over the years."

"He was my coach in college and made me believe in myself as a player. He trusted me and knew I had what it took to see the field. He is an honest coach as well, if I wasn’t performing to my full potential or was in my own head he would play another player. He wasn’t afraid to communicate that to me either, which made me a stronger player and person. If you want a coach to hold you accountable for your attitude, performance in school, and effort on the field, then he is the perfect fit for you. He was very knowledgeable of the game and built players IQ of the game. He is clear with his expectations and holds everyone to those standards. "

"Cody is an outstanding person and a coach. His knowledge go the game is beyond compare. He individualizes each player needs to help them become the best they can be on and off the field. He live by a sting moral code in which he mentors players to become great players and even better people. His dedication to the players, I have never seen equally compared in all the coaches I have met. I would send all of my daughters, and sons to him if he coached boys! As a father I have absolute confidence n him with my kids!"

"Cody is the reason I found love for the sport again. After previous coaching experiences I was lacking motivation/confidence as an athlete, not sure if I was willing to keep playing. Cody helped me find myself again and helped me find the passion for the sport I was missing. I learned tremendous amounts of soccer knowledge under him as well as life lessons. Never had a coach as passionate, driven, and present. Family is the strongest motive for his culture. "

"Cody was my middle and high school coach. He made me a better player on the pitch and an even better person off the pitch. He’s the first one to believe in you but is also not afraid to call you out and work with you until you get something right. He never gives up on you and inspires you to be better than you ever thought you could be. He makes you a hard worker and won’t take many excuses, never wanting to hear the words “I can’t”, if you do, it usually results in pushups. He’s got a great IQ and is always willing to hear ideas from his players and willing to make adjustments if somethings not working. I’ve had plenty of poor coaches throughout the years but Cody consistently reminded why I love the game and who and what I play for. He took a shy girl and allowed me to be a leader and develop a voice for my girls. He took a team with half of the girls having little to no soccer experience and turned the program around leading us to division championships and state runs. He’s the first to give you a hug after a game and remind you that he’s proud of you. I’ve shared many of my greatest soccer moments and memories with Cody as my head coach and I would have never made it as far without him. I know I always have him in my corner in all aspects of life. Plus he’s a Man U fan so that’s a plus and always has time to talk about Premier League and his faith. "

"This coach changed my life. I played high school soccer with him and he made me love the sport again and made it fun and not something I had to do, but something I got to do. He pushed me to take chances and to love the game every second. Him coaching me is still the best time of my life playing soccer. He helped me have the best years playing and always valued me as a player and a person. I was about to take a free kick from around half field, maybe closer, and he told me to go for it and shoot, not loft in. I thought he was crazy for telling me that because there was no way I could do that. But I did what he said and ended up scoring a bomb from out there! He believed in me so I believed in myself. He really is one of the best coaches I’ve ever had. His level of respect for me and his team mentality is absolutely life changing. If I could go back to those years one more time and play for him I would in a heartbeat. "

"From a collegiate player of cody’s, I would 110% recommend cody. He has a high soccer iq and has grown my soccer iq immensely. He helps me feel heard and makes me feel like a human. He focuses on not only development of us as players, but as people as well. He is a coach where you have to earn your playing time, which is highly respectable. I would play for him until I couldn’t play anymore."
