"Wow. Coach P is one of the worst coaches I've ever had. She is a total fake. She will look you in the eye and lie right to your face. I asked her if I would be playing in a particular game, she told me yes, but then put someone else in without even telling me. She says she has an open door policy but if you do go to her ta ask how you can improve or get more time on the field, she tells you you're doing fine and everything she asks but then guess what happens? You never see the field again. Girls know this and now no one will go to her about anything because they know she'll punish them. She def plays favorites-says if you're hitting you're in the lineup, but one of her favorites who has the lowest batting ave on the team always gets to be in the line up. She's organized and knows the game, but she is not a good person. You will think she is when you meet her, but once the season starts, the real coach p comes out and it's not a good one."
"Coach Powers gives players a good first impression. She comes across as a knowledgeable coach who cares about players not just being great on the field, but also in their personal lives. Once you make the team, though, the real Coach Powers comes out-untrustworthy, says one thing but does another, puts her favorite players on the field (not necessarily the best players), demeaning, moody and sometimes just downright mean. Is she organized, yes. Does she know the game, yes. But she will reward players who are terrible teammates (bad mouth fellow teammates behind their backs) and not the best players. She will tell you if you make an error, you will be off the field, but if you're a favorite, you can make many errors and nothing ever happens. You never know which coach will show up to practices or games-the supportive coach or the angry coach. She is also not supportive of her players' education-telling them that practice/games come before award ceremonies or graduation. Many girls have quit after their first or second year playing for her because they quit enjoying a sport they once loved. "
