"Draws you in with a lot of "hype". Nice guy until you lose, then he'll play the silent game and leave your court. Plays favorites, and will quickly shut you out if you aren't playing at his standards. His main philosophy is to hit "loops" and "grind it out", so if you are an aggressive player who doesn't like to grind and hit a million balls, this team isn't for you. Not knowledgable in the sport at all, tennis isn't about "looping", the game is far too advanced for that. Unfortunately this guy is stuck in the past, the team has a ton of potential, but with his coaching, it won't break any top 10 rankings. So before you commit, ignore the "long" email he'll send about how much he'd love to have you on the team. Instead, think about your game, how you want to play, and if it matches his philosophy. If it doesn't, you'll have a rough time enjoying the sport. I wish i'd known this before I played."

"My coach recruited players by promising spots to them before seeing them play. Players trusted that and came to the college and realized he only said that to get people to come to the college. My coach plays favorites all the time and doesnt take anything into account inregards to anything he says both at the beginning of the year and at the beginning of season. He says he will play people who work hard...that is not true. He says he doesnt take into account challenge matches...thats not true. Lastly, he says that he wants players be aggresive however always tells people to play tentatively. I really dislike how he takes credit for peoples success when in reality he literally sat there, told people what to do, they completely ignore him and they win. I have a lot of issues with my coach and many other girls on my team do as well."
