"In my opinion Herb is demeaning, verbally abusive, and creates a culture of meanness with the Felician softball program. This trickles right down into how the girls treat each other with his favorites being immune to good conduct. I have heard his post game speeches, which he tries to have out of spectator ear shot, and I was horrified at the things said to his players. Even worse is that he has destroyed the academic careers of and number his players by placing softball ahead of academics forcing students to change majors that would conflict with practices and games to keep scholarships. These athletes are as close to professionals as you can get and deserve better than a 12u coach with a massive ego and no self discipline. "
"Felician education is excellent. Coach Herb recruited my daughter and I thought it was going to be a good experience but I was wrong. So sad I'm so far away and
I don't like the word quit but pretty close. He is not professional in any ways. Not only to my daughter but some athletes on team. He has no business coaching college level. "
"I can write a paragraph but I will try to keep it short. He thinks he's coaching 12 year old girls. I don't think he realize they are young women. He humiliates them not only in front of players but also fans. Instead of picking up players he steps on them which makes situations worst. He is un approachable and disregards the feelings of any of his players. He does not possess positive attributes to be a college coach. He carries over his coaching style of LI pride to college which is totally different. I really which they take care of a big problem before it becomes bigger. Not to mention he's NOT a good coach. "
