"Jamie Smyth is not a terrible coach, but he’s not a good one either. He has his game one favorites that will never change. My 4 years of playing for him I got worse in all aspects of the game including mentally which is the biggest part of the game. You ask him what you should work on to get playing time and he’ll tell you you’re doing great and you’ll continue to sit the bench. He doesn’t care if there are clicks on the team. He says he’s all about “attitude” but actually would rather not pay attention to it if it’s one of his favorites. If you’re looking for an easy softball team/coach, join Saint joes. "
"Overall, he’s a great person. But, not a great coach. Practice plans were always the same and coaching style overall never changed. Seemed like he relied on a few players to make the team successful."
