"Playing for Coach Schauls is a privilege - not only in becoming a successful soccer player, but also becoming a man and a leader. Schauls is intense, stern, and will push you past your physical and mental capacity. However, he truly cares about each of his players, whether they be the captain or the last guy coming off the bench. He cares most about seeing his players develop as human beings. Personally, I have learned countless lessons from Coach Schauls, many of which I will carry with me for the rest of my life. I couldn't be more grateful to have a coach and father figure like Schauls in my life. In terms of play-style, many believe that his methods are stupid or do not work. This is true when the team does not buy into the culture and the play-style. When the whole entire team buys in - it works like a charm. The championship winning team of 2023 was a perfect example of his style working. Since then, the team has continued to see success through the play style of Coach Schauls. I could not of asked for a better coach during my college experience - and hope those that read this take all I mentioned into consideration when assessing Schauls."
