"Mark is extremely knowledgable about the sport of rowing and has a lot of connections in the sport. He is always looking for ways to make us faster and better athletes so we can compete at the highest level. He has big goals for all of us both individually and as a team and does his best to help you achieve them. Mark takes his job very seriously, but also helps to make sure that we still enjoy rowing and our college experience."
"Coach Mark Rothstein cares a lot about rowing, as well as his athletes. He trains them very hard on the erg. He sets high expectations that are meant to be reached, as well as eventually surpassed. His weakness lies in his perspective: he sees rowing from a physics standpoint, and lacks understanding of the technical aspects of the sport. He is a good coach, some might even say great, but he will never create an excellent team despite having amazing athletes."
