"The worst coach I have ever had. If you want to learn to hate yourself and your life, he is the coach for you. He also believes women don’t need to go in the weight room, he would only let our team do body weight exercises. Trainers tried to talk to him but he believes he is right and will never change his mind. An example of this is how he would bench multiple players and never give them even one minute on the field, never a single chance to prove themselves. His idea of motivation was to yell at us and make us run fitness, never taking responsibility for our losses and struggles. "
"Matt rarely ever seemed to show that he actually cared about his team - he seemed to only care about winning. What he lacked in empathy, compassion, and respect, he replaced with unnecessary intensity and constant yelling. He made my college soccer experience one to remember, and not for good reason."
"Always contradicted himself and believed he was always right. Did not work with players abilities rather tried to fit players into concrete/certain system. "
"Matt does seem to care about his players but he is a terrible communicator and is a control freak. He talks WAY too much in practice to the point we barely play because all he does is go on and on about something that could be said in a quick sentence. He also is so scattered about topics he wants to focus on when coaching. He needs to relax."
"Matt Kellogg is a below average coach. He does not know how to effectively utilize his players. He plays his favorites against the betterment of his team. Matt puts athletics over academics and does not care for the well-being of his athletes in their school nor personal lives."
