"It just keeps getting worse at Merrimack Women’s Soccer and Coach Paul is the reason why. This guy is completely out of his depth coaching in the MAAC or at D1 for that matter. He has alienated the players, parents, and alumni. He is the sole reason for the program’s toxic culture. And another reason alumni won’t give any money. When things go wrong, he won’t coach your kid or help them through a tough time. He will place blame on some girls (the ones he hates) and will not take any accountability himself for failings or losing. And will never hold his favorites accountable. Ever. They always get a free pass. Thankfully this season is almost over since the girls won’t make the playoffs. It would have been fun watching Paul bumble his way through another first round loss. Girls should be hitting the portal hard. Don’t walk, RUN from Paul and this stinking program he has ruined. If you are a recruit, find another team fast. Dont ruin your college career playing at Merrimack or for Paul. "

"This is for the 25/26 season. My daughter currently attends Merrimack and plays for this team. We were recruited by Gabe, however this a$$hat controls this team and walks all over the head coach and thinks he’s the head coach. He is the WORST coach we have ever come across. He has ZERO knowledge of the game and has favorites that he will play no matter what. He is belittling to the players, condescending and has no coaching ability whatsoever. You should be concerned with your daughters mental health for sure under this coach!! A previous post stated that and it’s 100% accurate!! This program is a joke because of this coach, I’m not sure how or why he has been employed as long as her has. Merrimack Athletics should be embarrassed."

Paul is the worst possible coach to allow your kids to play for. Avoid Merrimack Soccer for the sake of your daughter’s mental health. Paul created a culture of fear, punishment, and harshness unlike any program I’ve heard of. How he is still employed is a mystery. Merrimack desperately needs an overhaul of the women’s staff. This program is toxic and Paul is the reason why. "
