"I am submitting this statement as a whistleblower to report ongoing and systemic misconduct within the athletic department at Davenport University. The issues described below involve abuse of authority, retaliation against student-athletes and coaches, failure to investigate sexual misconduct, coaches drinking with student athletes and misuse of institutional funds and resources. Overview of Misconduct Over an extended period, multiple male coaches and athletic staff members across several programs—including baseball, men’s basketball, football, and women’s basketball —have engaged in inappropriate relationships and/or conduct with student-athletes. These behaviors were known by athletic administrators and Human Resources. Despite this knowledge, no meaningful investigations were initiated, and the individuals involved were allowed to continue working with student-athletes. Administrative Cover-Up and Suppression Senior athletic administrators—specifically Ronda oversaw multiple teams and exercised authority over athletes’ scholarships, team placement, and employment opportunities. These administrators: Explicitly forbade student-athletes from discussing or reporting misconduct Warned athletes that speaking out would result in loss of playing time, scholarships, roster spots, or jobs Rewarded silence by offering increased scholarship funds, paid campus jobs, or other benefits Created a culture of fear, intimidation, and dependency that discouraged reporting Retaliation Student-athletes and coaches who attempted to raise concerns or ask questions were met with: Threats to their athletic standing Scholarship manipulation Isolation from teammates Loss of employment This retaliation occurred both directly and indirectly and was clearly tied to attempts to silence reports of misconduct. Human Resources Knowledge Human Resources—specifically the title IX deputy coordinator was made aware of concerns involving: Head coaches Assistant coaches Graduate assistants Athletic trainers Despite this awareness, HR failed to intervene, escalate, or ensure compliance with institutional policy or federal law. Failure of Oversight The lack of investigation, combined with continued access to student-athletes by accused staff, represents a significant failure of: Compliance oversight Athlete safeguarding Ethical governance Fiduciary responsibility regarding scholarship and employment funds Request for Action I am requesting: An independent investigation by an external body Protection from retaliation for any reporting individuals A full audit of scholarship allocations, employment placements and displacements, and discretionary funds Review of HR and administrative failures to act This statement is truthful to the best of my knowledge and is submitted in good faith to prevent further harm to student-athletes."

"This is a formal Title IX complaint alleging sexual misconduct, abuse of authority, creation of a hostile educational environment, and retaliation within the athletic department at Davenport. Sexual Misconduct and Inappropriate Relationships: Multiple male coaches and athletic staff members engaged in inappropriate relationships and/or conduct with student-athletes across several programs, including: Baseball Men’s basketball Football Former women’s basketball Involvement of assistants, GAs, and trainers These relationships involved significant power imbalances and violated institutional policy and Title IX protections. Knowledge and Deliberate Indifference Athletic administrators and Human Resources were aware of these concerns. Despite this knowledge: No formal investigations were initiated Accused individuals retained access to student-athletes No protective measures were implemented This constitutes deliberate indifference under Title IX. Retaliation and Coercion Student-athletes were discouraged from reporting misconduct through: Threats of scholarship reduction or loss Removal from teams or reduced playing time Loss or denial of campus jobs Explicit instructions not to speak about coaches’ behavior Conversely, some athletes were offered increased scholarships or employment in exchange for silence. This behavior violates Title IX’s prohibition on retaliation. Hostile Environment The cumulative effect of unchecked misconduct, intimidation, and retaliation created a hostile educational and athletic environment where student-athletes and coaches reasonably feared reporting abuse. Requested Remedies I respectfully request: A prompt, thorough, and impartial investigation Interim measures to protect affected athletes Review of scholarship and employment practices for coercion or misuse Accountability for administrators and HR personnel who failed to act Institutional reforms to prevent recurrence I certify that this complaint is made in good faith and that the information provided is accurate to the best of my knowledge."

"Offered higher scholarships and jobs for hush money. Zero morals at Davenport. Offered the trainer a raise to keep her mouth shut. Anyone she can’t buy or anyone who has morals won’t do well at this university. If you’re selfish this is the place for you. Mostly a group of people that think they are special because they work in college athletics. 95 percent of what happens in the athletic department isn’t what happens at any other college or University. Higher education is supposed to educate and create more solid adults. This university is the exact opposite of that. It creates weak, lazy, entitled people that constant have their hand out and constantly think they are owed something. Not because they deserve it or because they are actually good. This school has no business being an NCAA INSTITUTION. "

"I’m positive not only Ronda but the athletes that watched and followed along with what they knew was wrong but still went along with it won’t be punished. One of the worst schools in the country after following the story from my wife. The parents of these girls should be written about. Amazingly sick citizens. The parents show you how the kids will be. Ronda is guilty of this the most. God see’s it all I hope and pray. If there really is a god -true realization and punishment will be served to both ronda, employees, staff and the athletes. They all like to put crosses and bible verses on themselves but they are more worshipped by the devil. Evil evil evil people .greed greed greed greed. I will make sure all my realities in Utah and California know of these EVIL PEOPLE AND my home state of Illinois. "

"One of the worst bosses I’ve had but also one of the easiest. I’ve frequently witnessed her talking negatively about students athletes and employees. She constantly cancels one on ones and does bare minimum work. Ronda is very opinionated and breaks rules for certain coaches. Ronda constantly hires unqualified employees as favors, which gives her more power bc they definitely owe her for the opportunity. Off the top of my head I can think of at least 5 employees in the athletic department that had zero experience and qualifications for their job. They kiss her ring though so all is well. "

"Ronda is the worst boss I’ve ever had. My family lives in the area and I make decent money so I put up with her but she’s really really bad. Not sure how much PTO time she gets because she’s never here. She cancels meetings constantly and constantly talks negatively about people in the athletic department. I’ve been in conversations with her making fun of kids on the basketball, softball and golf teams. She’s one of the most unprofessional people I’ve been around. I feel bad for smiling and nodding listening to her talk but I don’t want to get on her bad side. Everyone who has regardless of it being their own fault or not isn’t here anymore so I’m not going to take my chances. This is the only platform I feel comfortable sharing my experiences as other employees have gone to HR and again they aren’t here anymore. I wouldn’t recommend working here if she’s your supervisor. "Vi a Ronda en Florida tomando fotos y videos de un equipo divirtiéndose y ganando, y luego manipuló la situación para presentársela a Recursos Humanos y a los directivos. Una persona malvada que solo buscaba su propio beneficio. Después, se hizo cargo del equipo y fingió estar creando un buen ambiente de trabajo. Pero todo el trabajo ya estaba hecho. Ella no tuvo nada que ver. Es una persona horrible con un corazón perverso. Espero que el karma exista."

"I know for a fact a student athlete indicated self harm to the coach and as obligation that coach reported it through the correct channels. I also know for a fact mental health services at Davenport told the student athlete who reported this. A complete violation. Davenport University should be facing a major lawsuit. That incident alone completely ruined the relationship between athlete and coach. Fonda did what she always does - LIES. Tried to make the person feel inadequate or like they did something wrong. RONDA IS A BULLY. She should be fired for the 7,000 things she’s done wrong. She never will bc her crew is untouchable. It’s really horrible the unethical violations that occur at this school that leadership laugh and play off and or blame the person who did the right thing. "

"The VP has been there since 2013. In the club with Ronda and athletic staff. He’s hidden and covered up all their scandals. When I first met him I thought he had held way higher jobs at more prestigious places. Nope turns out it’s Roosevelt. Insane. Ronda and all athletic administrators cover things up bc they have this man in their back pocket. Ironically I believe he has a kid that goes to DU too so you know club rules. "

"Rhonda and the vice president illegally threaten student athletes and tell them they will get computer hackers to look into their activity. They don’t want the truth to come out. It’s like dealing with middle school bullies. HR knows all about it as many have went to her to tell her of the bullying and it’s even went as far as the bullying becoming so bad that coaches and staff members have considered self harm. Terrible University. Someone should do something about this corruption! "

"In my opinion from working at DU the athletic administration and certain coaches are very corrupt but it doesn’t stop there. The vice president is actively just as corrupt as the administrations and coaches. He’s in the back pocket of certain coaches and has a wide presence at athletic events. He has actively covered up multiple athletic scandals, notably the baseball team players running from the police. Although I do think the administration and coaches are some of the most corrupt and self serving people I’ve encountered in college athletics the problem is much higher and it starts with him allowing this behavior to occur. He tries to play the religious preacher card but he might be more corrupt than ALL OF THEM. Beware. "

"I’ve been following softball for 35 years. Why don’t we see the massive disease and disappointment that Ronda led last year. She clearly tanked it to get her friend hired and for him to have success right way with previous recruiting but we should see her name RONDA V responsible for the terrible season after beating regional teams in Florida. What an amazing coach. Thought you were like really really good lol what a joke. She rebuilt the culture don’t you know. I hope the low lives at this school win the conference and look at themselves in the mirror. I’ve never seen anything like it in 35 years. Jealousy is a serious disease. Sick program all the way around. Watched her protect her assistant though. Real hard a*s "

"Heard you pushed a rumor that players on a team couldn’t do cheers bc it wasn’t allowed. When in reality they couldn’t do one singular cheer making fun of people with Down syndrome. How terrible of a place is Davenport? Seriously disgusting what you allowed. Terrible human being. Sick people at DU! Mad bc they can’t continue to do a cheer making fun of people with disabilities. You should be reported. "

"The problem with Davenport U is that they listen to selfish entitled kids and their parents. The entire administration has kids that go to the school and they pick and choose who to listen to. Entitled, spoiled selfish kids that have no accountability go to this college. You should be held accountable for lying about being abused, lying about underage drinking, lying about drugs, lying about fake IDs, lying about stealing, lying about sleeping with employees, lying about just about everything. But they all got their hand out for more. There is zero accountability at this school and it’s creating toxic adults. Everyone is allergic to hard work at this school but they love getting their pockets greased. Epic fail of any sort of leadership at this school. I’ve had family on both the baseball and men’s basketball teams. They have no accountability. The best players get away with murder and they know and laugh about it. High turn over rate for both. I would not recommend this place at all. I would give -100 if I could. Anyone that goes to this school should have a label of FAILING TO DO THE RIGHT THING. Zero integrity from 98 percent. "

"Not an honest person at all. She’s lied to student athletes on multiple occasions. Davenport relies on scaring athletes into submission. With threats, taking or adding scholarships, etc. A proven method that has worked for the last 15 years. It’s sad to see it’s still occurring. Am I shocked? No, clearly not when Rhonda is involved. "
