"What happens when coaches are fired mid season? Someone has to step in to repair the culture. A challenging situation for sure, and if it wasn’t for Ronda the season would have likely folded. Clearly the toxic problems are retaliating against the DU softball program and athletic administration. The majority of comments are likely coming from those who have also set up fake social media accounts to claim mistreatment and a lack of talent. This is what happens when disgruntled individuals have to hide behind a curtain to rant online to defame a persons character. Thank you Ronda for stepping in and supporting this team. "While being a woman with so much on her plate she has been able to be an athletic director, teach classes, and coach a D2 softball team. I don’t see how our errors in the field falls on her. Yes this year has been a roller coaster but she has been able to help this team grow in different ways and come back from something that was difficult for us. She is a caring coach providing hot breakfast before games and getting us all products and set up a “vanity” in our locker is something we have all loved. "

"One of the nastiest, undermining, woman hater I’ve ever watched coach. She thinks she’s some great coach because she had success 15 years ago, but the game has passed her by a long time ago. She can’t even run a practice in a way that makes the girls better. Clearly has no relationships with any of the players, just watch her interact during games. Players clearly don’t like her. This lady was behind the wrongful pushing out of the last coaching staff. The fact that all the players know that is pathetic. "I can’t imagine being an athletic director or coach and your own kid transferred to 3 schools in high school because he wasn’t good enough to play. Shameful how you let not gifted kids that are friends with your son run a program. Not good at sports that’s ok, go do something different. They shouldn’t be at a division 2 school. "

"My granddaughter plays softball at AQ. I’ve known Ronda for years and she has always spoke before thinking. I don’t know any of the girls at Davenport but she’s had a lot of hateful things to say about Lexi, Maddy, Becca, Hailey, Sophie & Jackie. I hope she isn’t speaking before thinking coaching these girls because what she has said about them isn’t very nice and things she shouldn’t be saying about kids. Sad situation going on there. "
"Ultimate user and abuser. My wife and I have both overheard Ronda talking negatively of Jv softball players and the coaching staff at Davenport at our local pub. She used those poor jv girls so bad they played right into her hand without even knowing the terrible things she was saying about them. A true narcissist. "
"As an alumni who wrote in letters to the administration they are all aware Ronda knew about the abuse Amber put us through. Why Ronda decided to screw over this current coaching staff makes no sense to me. A little funny they had more all region players than 2 division 1 coaches. What a toxic place to be. "
"As a former player at DU Ronda had absolutely no problem letting Amber ABUSE us. She called us FAT, she didn’t care about as people, didn’t buy us things we needed to play. On top of that Amber didn’t recruit anyone because she knew she was leaving.
Then you start JV lol why would you ever do that? She already didn’t recruit. The amount of people the coaching staff had to recruit to make up for Amber not recruiting and then JV is INSANE.
You set them up for failure from the beginning. I’m assuming having 3 All Region players and the first player of the year in school history really made you mad. Ronda set this program up for failure from the beginning. Probably because she was jealous. Never liked Ronda. She’s not good at anything she does! "
"I’ve overheard Ronda Varnesdeel make many really nasty and rude comments about the JV players she was coaching. I’ve also heard her make a lot of rude comments about the varsity players. She’s very 2 faced, unprofessional and manipulative. Friendly to your face, makes you think she’s there for you and she’s plotting your demise behind your back. It’s concerning this woman has climbed the ladder to be an administrator. "
