"Overall, Sarah is a good coach who cares about soccer and knows the game well. She values winning and playing well as a team above all. She is a newer head coach so she has some growing into her position to do, but I believe she can do so. One thing that could be better for her as a coach is understanding the commitment that Ivy League academics require as a student-athlete. Since that was not her collegiate experience, she doesn’t place the necessary emphasis on academics that every Ivy League coach should and doesn’t fully understand the time and effort succeeding in our classes takes. Because of this, there can be a disconnect between Sarah and her players. She had been moving in a positive direction regarding bridging this gap and I believe when she does so, she will be easier to talk to and connect with on all levels and be more impactful to her players."
