"Our first impression of Coach Scheff was very on point with what his expectations were for our son and after our first meeting we couldn’t stop talking about how his character and passion was what we wanted for our son. He was at sometimes intense on getting the most out of our son and pushing him to be a better ball player. You can say he was an old school teacher and coach. The life lessons he taught will be with my son for the rest of his life. He would be good for any program needing a coach who has the experience and knowledge of getting the best out of his players. He is a family man who always checks on our son even years after he played for him which shows he truly cares for his players. If we had another son we would follow and commit to him in a heartbeat. At FIU he would tell us that the world is not made of rainbows and sunshine and that the job of a coach is to be tough on you, hold you accountable so you grow into being a great father, husband and employee. He also helped me with my professional career more than anyone. I talked to him for hours on the phone when I did not think I was good enough. He taught me how to believe in myself."

"Coach Sheff helps you see what is inside of you. He preached that Baseball teaches you about life. In 2019 we won the first ever conference championship after winning just 12 games the year before. Sheff pushed and pushed us to become a team, to train harder and to believe in ourselves. Sheff is old school, intense, has a passion for coaching and for his players. He has been there for me through good and bad outside of baseball. He is intense and has rough exterior, but has a huge caring heart and will do anything for his players. You cannot be soft and make it through Sheff's program. The weakest parts of my game, became the strongest part of my game. He helped me become more vocal and showed me how much I can do in baseball and in life."

Fails to publicly disclose he coached at Hendrix College and was suspended mid-season after unified complaints from players and parents. Was eventually fired. He is a cancer on any team he is a part of. "

"Played under Shef at Hendrix and he was the best coach I ever had. Turned our team around from being 12-27 to 32-11 (something like that). Knows how to get the most out of his players. Pushed us to be the best versions of ourselves on and off the field. Coaches hard, but that is what you need out of a college coach. If you want to be cradled go play for someone else, or just don’t play college baseball because I don’t know what you expect from a college coach. HE CARES! Unbelievable grateful for the opportunity I had to finish my college career under him. Thankful for him everyday. "
