During games, he is vocal and can be heard from the sidelines to ensure that players are where they need to be positioned and attentive to competitive threats. His coaching is always positive, never threatening or intimidating. Off the field, Simon is always very friendly and takes the time to speak with parents authentically and with genuine interest and caring. Simon is the best coach at UMass Amherst in my opinion -- and it wouldn't surprise me if he gets tapped to be a head coach some time soon. He is a leader of the highest caliber. "
