"As someone who has had experience with SCAD coaches (men and women) and the program for quite some time, it was clear in the games that I was able to watch the impact that Coach Shotwell made. The team played at a high level, and it was clear who struggled with accountability by simply watching the games, and hearing the parents behave like their young women are still playing in high school. I’ve been around lacrosse since the early 90’s, and it was clear to me what she was working on building. It was also clear that there were parents there that cared about personal stats more than team achievements. I’m sure the new staff will do great until these parents sink to the levels they did to get Mel excused. Shameful :( "
