"Coach Kish cares a lot about his team beyond the sport of rowing itself and is passionate about building a team culture that goes beyond a win or a championship. He is willing to meet with anyone and talk through tough situations that come up both on and off the water, and is always looking to improve from year to year as a leader and builds positive relationships with his athletes over the course of their four years. He is direct and honest and level-headed; he's not someone who yells or gets angry in practice, but he is very focused and will make the most of every stroke on the water. He wants the best for every athlete and he pushes everyone to be their best. It's easy to tell he loves the sport of rowing and knows how to make boats go fast and relate life to the sport. "
"This coach couldn’t have cared less about me as an athlete and made me feel worthless. He has not only slut shamed women in meetings for an all-female team but also only cares about 8 of his athletes at a time. "
