"This coach was picked up on a whim as it was necessary after the firing of the previous coach. Hired in a pinch just to fill the slot would effectively describe this coach. He has a long track record of showing up to coach but that’s basically what he does…just shows up. If you are looking for a coach up to date with modern playing styles and high performing defenses this is not the coach. He pretty much doesn’t coach batting and it shows as the team average can’t top .300 against mediocre mid major pitching. He doesn’t know how to read batters and adjusts defenses often to the wrong locations only for them to get burned by the ball. Don’t worry if you are a favorite though, you will stay in the game no matter how many errors you make because he doesn’t know the difference between good fielding and inability. If he doesn’t like something about you, don’t expect to play and don’t expect any help or attention whatsoever. Famous quote of his, “I don’t care about defense, if you are not hitting you won’t play” His first year stats can back that up as you won’t win games without defense especially with a sub 300 team BA.
