"Jarred is a first year coach for the program. He is amazing in every imaginable way. He truly cares about the team and makes every day enjoyable. The program has seen a drastic improvement in performance since he started. He is the best thing to happen to this program in a long time. "
"Anne is a very strict, old-school type of coach. She plays favorites, is super unfair with playing time and doesn't get to know her players on a personal level. Anne is knowledgable when it comes to field hockey, but her coaching style is weak. She yells orders at the players and is not motivating or positive in the slightest."
"Unfortunately, the OSU field hockey program does not care about players if they are unable to come in as freshmen and start. Some of those freshmen are dropped when an international is recruited to play over them - even if the international has made it clear their intention is only to play for 1 year in the program. The team is enormous and lacks unity and leadership, as well as discipline for off-the-field incidents. In one off-season, 7 girls of the 27-person roster transferred or quit."
"Anne is the least understanding I have ever met. She is inconsiderate, she plays favorites with her starters and does not develop her other players. After two weeks of pre-season, Anne selects about 12-14 players who will play every minute of every game for the rest of the season and will not even look at the rest of the girls (there are typically around 25-27 girls on the roster per season). Anne does not get to know her players on a personal level."
"Anne's coaching style is completely irrelevant to how the game is played today. She is stuck in the 80's and has gone through 4 assistant coaches in 4 years because of it. Out of a team of 27 girls only 14 played throughout the season regularly and 10 did not step on the field one single time. She segregats practices and each drill into the A team (starters) and B team (everyone else) and only coaches those on the A team to get better."
