Believes In You Creates A Great Team Culture Dedicated To Players Organized Positive Person
"This person below said it best, so I am reiterating her sentiments. Worst Coach unless you are a favorite (which is all of the 5 star ratings), or if your parents buy her, then you are also a favorite. If you want your athlete to drink (even before games), do drugs, and have sex with the other teams, this is the place for you. Sadly, the coaches knew and did nothing about it. Coach Nutt and the entire school is Christian based, old school by the book. If you don’t 100% act that way then you will be belittled, sat on the bench, or released from the team. Anything you do that she doesn’t agree with she’s going to make you feel like you’re less than. She has an open door policy to everyone, but will be the first to call a team meeting and air out all your business, private or not. You’re not allowed to have friends outside of the team without being bashed for it, male or female. This woman drained me of my love of the game and myself, causing an extreme mental toll on me where the point I was physically ill. “Mental health matters” but only when it’s beneficial to her and her track record. Unless you’ve played for her in the past on a travel team or know her personally outside of softball, I do not recommend. Also, the school itself is a cult and will be the first place to tell you you’re less than for not being Old Testament Christian. ""

"I have been a player for Coach Nutt for a couple years and she has made my experience at Williams Baptist amazing! She helps me grow on and off the field, while pushing me to be a better person and player! She is constantly reminding me that softball isn't who I am but what I do! She is always reminding us girls that our life is more than what we do on the field! Our life and worth isn't found in the sport but in Christ! She pushes us while also showing sincerity and compassion for her players. She is an amazing Coach and an awesome mentor! "

"Coach Nutt is one of the best coaches I have played for throughout my entire softball career. Her passion for athletes and her girls goes beyond the field, she always makes you feel like more than just a player. She cares about you as a person and puts in the effort to build a relationship with each of her players. She understands and prioritizes mental health, as she gives us mental health days if needed. She was able to pull out my potential as a person and player and I walked out of Williams a better woman. She recognizes there is a standard and upholds this through accountability, not just for the girls, but for herself as well. I would 100% be sending my girls to Williams!"

"Coach Nutt is one of the best coaches I have played for and worked with. She cares more about you as a person than an athlete and is the reason I chose to go into coaching myself. She encourages an open door policy and is an advocate for mental health. She builds relationships with players and they are encouraged to always come and talk no matter the circumstances. The assistant (Ashlie Dahl) also encourages these things and the two of them work well together to make sure the athletes know they are loved and cared for. As someone who played for her she always knew how to keep things fun but also be serious when needed. I would 100% let my kids play for her one day. The culture she has built at Williams has come a long way and is going to continue going up. As someone once said to me addition by subtraction, this program is a great one to play for and be apart of. "

Coach Nutt Is Not The Coach I Would Play For Ever Again. She Encourages A Nasty Culture, Is Friends With Players, And Diminishes The Rest.

Believes In You Creates A Great Team Culture Dedicated To Players Organized Positive Person
"Coach Nutt does not facilitate a good team culture. She only cares about her favorites (her friends). She participates in creating drama, spreads rumors, interferes with players lives, forces players to talk about their sex lives to not just the coaching staff but to other players as well. She does not care if players are injured or mentally taxed, but only that the practice players make practice worth it for her starters, pushing overuse, injury, and mental issues. Depending on who you are she will give you the silent treatment based on performance, shift blame to certain people so her “friends” don’t look bad, let assistant coaches and other teammates belittle you in front of everyone, give in to bribes from parents, and more. Practices are the same everyday, 21 outs and then enough conditioning to make you and the most in shape players fall down dizzy, even if they are injured. She did not coach or try to make players better, but rather just keeps doing the same thing over again expecting different results. The coaches can never take accountability for their own actions. When teammates were being bullied online by other teammates, she knew and turned the other cheek until season was over, only certain players got punished, and when it happened again, nothing was said because the girl they bullied was one she resented taking. She demotes women and their mental capacity. “Your 18-22 year old females, you mental head-cases with trauma because your females.” “Females are crazy and stupid.” There is more I can go on about. My years spent at this program and for this coach have been a horror story. I once loved softball but she and the rest of the staff (Ashlie Dahl) have made me dread it every day. If I could go back in time I wouldn’t consider the scholarship money, I would go anywhere else. The grass isn’t always green on the other side, but at least there’s grass somewhere else. "
