"He’s a former decathlete and he was very good, but he’s trying to live vicariously through his athletes. If you aren’t among the best or you don’t worship the ground he walks on, good luck. He talks s**t about people behind EVERYONE’S back. He literally left my university and after the team sat down at a team dinner and started talking and so much team drama had actually been started or dragged out by coach. Hes one of the most petty and selfish people ive ever worked with. He created a toxic environment that I didn’t even fully realize until he left because I was among his “favorites” which isolated me from the rest of the team. In one instance, I competed poorly, he told me that if he had competed the way I had, that he would be put on suicide watch. His life revolved completely around the sport so he took you not doing well as a personal attack. He’s very knowledgeable but has a hard time adapting the way he learned to do things to people who may learn differently. 0/10 would recommend. "
