"Mr. Harker does not manage his bench, batters, or bull pen well. He has promised over half of the 2025 pitchers that they will will be a "big part of the bull pen" and insinuated that they would play. None of them knew till the middle of the season when all the players got together to compare notes. 2024 all confrence second team player had his tuition offer lowered for 2025 and sat over a month with no reason, two kids quit due to mental health concerns due to the treatment from this coach, multiple pitchers have only pitched 1 inning (even a guy with a 0 ERA) while other guys pitch weekly and hit batters or walk multiple players.
Mr Harker told the guys if you let noone get on base you get a second inning and still (the same day he told them that) he pulled 2 different pitchers that put noone one on base after 1 inning.
He conducts practices that are more appropriate for 10 u, then races from practice or developmental games to go coach his kids elementary teams. Even the other coaches have confided in parents that they arent happy with the subpar practices.
There is no developing the guys as players, or young men. He screams at all the kids after a loss that its their fault. When the 1 player left due to mental health his only response was "how am I supposed to know?"
The best part about the Limestone baseball team is the relationship between the players. They try to support one another away from the field. They have learnt to hide when they disagree with the coach as he holds grudges and if a player has an opinion different than his, they are punished by being benched or not allowed to dress at all.
If you have a son who dreams of playing as long as possible or trying to develope past their high school skill set, don't go to Limestone. Not because of the school but because this program does not support development and is toxic from the highest level."
