"I am an ex Cairn baseball player that played with marks and was coached by marks my senior year. This man is as passionate as a coach can get. I miss you coach. I'm trying to get down for an alumni game. Coach I follow your teams success since I graduated you're a true leader. Coach thank you for keeping this program alive, I thought the program was going to fail honestly. I'm a believer now keep it up coach. I hope to see you soon. Brotherhood forever."
"Coach marks is a true leader of the game. The brotherhood is extremely important for coach marks. The players have absolutely loved playing for marks. This program has come a long way in 4 seasons for marks. I would highly recommend cairn university for your son if he's looking for a great program. I have had the best experience watching my son through his 4 years. I understand everyone has there say in sports but this program is just not about baseball its the brotherhood marks pushes. Thank you coach marks for an opportunity to play for you. "
"Coach Marks is all about winning. Of course everyone wants to win, but with negative comments and poor leadership when losing games puts unnecessary pressure on players. As a young coach, Marks hangs out with players in his office, at first this seemed like a great way to connect with players and bond. However, there was so much gossip happening that made players feel uncomfortable, as well as the fact the Marks cannot keep a secret. If a player wants to know something, just ask him 2-3 time and then the cat is out of the bag. Hanging out with players also causes favoritism, and another Avenue for gossip. This caused horrible team chemistry and as a team that calls itself a brotherhood, this just did not fit.
Marks is a friary coach passionate about winning. I do believe that many of his flaws will diminish as he grows and matures as a coach. He knows the game very well, and usually makes in game decisions well. If you are strictly looking to win, you may like coach marks, but if you are looking for a team to develop and grow as a person and player, this may not be the team for you."
