"Out of the many coaches I had in my tennis career, Bud Davis has by far been the worst coach in every possible way. He’s among the most stubborn, disrespectful, toxic, demeaning, ignorant, and negative people I’ve ever met in my life. He would talk s**t about us to our opponents in front of our face and in the middle of our matches. Most of our team quit tennis even though they were all talented enough to transfer to a university but the majority of them quit tennis because he’d burn everyone out with his negativity. Our team bonded because we all hated him. Even when we already transferred or left the team he would still talk s**t about is to the new players on the team. Even the content of his coaching itself was plain dumb and ignorant. He’d tell you to go for shots that make absolutely zero sense in the game and the situation and every time he’d coach someone in a match it was almost a guarantee they’d lose. If you want to play at a JC I highly suggest looking for another coach for the sake of your tennis and mental well-being. "
