"He will come off extremely intense at first but once you get to know him you will understand he truly wants what is best for his athletes! Being as busy as his is the little things might be overlooked but just have faith in him and you will progress. He is a hard a** so don’t expect it to be easy. He will challenge you and push you to your limits with that being said, it’s important for you as an athlete to pull your weight as well. Make sure you go to the trainer when needed along with taking the time to recover when you body is exhausted(communication is key!). Things in life are not given they are earned through hard work, commitment and full effort! Chad is the same if you want to improve or succeed he is the coach but you need to be as committed to the improvement as he is! He is normally direct so don’t take things to personal. I’m an extremely emotional person and I learned the hard way by overthinking that things were different than they actually were. But once I finally spoke with Chad and straightened it all out and put all the cards in the table, things started to fall into place. I stopped overthinking things and started to improve as well as trust in the process. Although I was naturally talented, I was extremely out of shape and not ready to complete at ALL! Chad got me there in a short time and I ended up winning multiple national championships and getting a full ride to a division one. Commitment, communication and consistency is key. If you are struggling with something, don’t be afraid to go talk to him! He will talk to you straight, and even though he might not have all the answers, he will try to work with you to figure them out if needed. "

"I was a student-athlete in the Az-NJCAA community almost 20 years ago. i chose a school that didnt have an events coach for me. loved my school but competing against the other schools in our conference i noticed a distinct difference from Pima by coach Harrison. now years later after coaching and officiating I must say Coach Chad “green eyes” Harrison is on the peak of his industry. His responsibilities to the student, athlete and parents alike stand alone in his field. How he can balance his medical profession while keeping his small junior college afloat js very impressive. I must say his students are always forward and respectful which sheds light on who their head coach is as a member of our community."

"Coach Chad will work you until you throw up And then some. He is not afraid of kicking athletes who break rules off the team no matter how good they are. He will push you to your absolute limits. He’s a fantastic coach but also is a major jerk sometimes but about 90% of the time it’s justified. He also places a lot of weight on first impressions. He will certainly get you to the next level, as long as you can handle the workload. "
