"This coach is very negative towards her team. Initially comes off as down to earth and caring. However once you are in the program all the recruitment sales pitch goes out the window. Training is subpar all around. Weight room , practices, feedback, communication with athletes about progress, making adjustments to training just olllllld school. Coach’s style is to basically remind you that you suck daily. And talk about her accomplishments. Most memorable moment was on a meet trip and she actually told the team they can smoke their weed outside the hotel not to smoke in the building. So the message was not to avoid smoking but to go it outside the hotel. That was my breaking point as a parent. I couldn’t believe what I heard. Team culture: survival; means to an end ; all recruited were exceptional in highschool but upon arriving the lack of training and support quickly equates to slower times and the kids get depressed. Not to mention the coach will quickly turn on the athlete and blame them even though she is not providing a environment that would foster success. So it’s a depressing situation. If you want to improve in your sport DO NOT ATTEND TSU. UNLESS THEY CHANGE COACHES"
