"Corey filled in as the interim head coach for one season following troubles with the head coach and eventually took over the program. The athletes on the team had the opportunity to talk with all potential new hires, and every single one of us voted to have coach Corey come back and take over the head position. VERY knowledgeable about the game, and if he doesn't know, he will do everything he can to find the answer. Cares deeply about his players as human beings AND athletes and understands that college athletics is hard both physically and mentally. Now, he isn't going to give you the easy way out ever; he will make you push through, but he is great about knowing what types of things athletes can "push through" and what things he needs to dial back on. If I could redo my four years of college, I wish I could've played under coach Corey all four years. Corey is the reason I am a coach today, the reason I picked up volleyball again after four straight years of injury, and quite honestly, one of the main reasons I am here to write this review. Corey takes mental health seriously and will get you in contact with whomever it may be to help his athletes out. 10/10 coach, 12/10 human being. Great at creating and builsing positive team culture, insane with development through the years, and just hands-down someone I would run through a brick wall for."
