"My experience at CSUSB under coach payan was absolutely miserable. The back and forth mind games made it unclear her expectations. I would be forced to have private meetings where it was a one sided discussion of what a horrible teammate and person I was. But I wasn’t able to tell anyone. I was never allowed to defend myself and give my side of the story. She tries to make it a point of team culture but provides a toxic environment of “culture”. It’s her way or the highway. She communicates in a passive aggressive way to her players by making snarky comments and ignoring players if she’s mad at you. I had once been ignored for a week by her with no explanation. When I had family issues I was never able to leave because I had to be at practice but others girls had family problems and they were allowed to miss as much time as needed. "
