"Vaughn lacks the knowledge to give the team a chance to win games due to being stuck in the past. His outdated ways have hurt the team in the most recent years. His inability to better develop his players is also a hard to get on board with. Decent alumni relations and a personable person."

"I feel that although Coach Vaughan has extensive hockey knowledge and I know he has made great connections with alumni/boosters for the program, his coaching style and tactics are very outdated, and his personal record reflects that notion. He has had some extremely talented players come through the system lately, but has not done a great job of helping them develop (as noticed by a handful leaving early for the pro ranks). He is also highly disliked by many current/ recent former players."
