"Please be aware that 20 players have left in the last two seasons alone and no matter what someone might say, it’s not due to academics or playing time. This alone should speak volumes. There is a lack of respect towards players and a strong need to be in control of every thing around him. This is not just a typical and expected intense college coaching experience with high expectations. It is far beyond that. This coach does not care about the players beyond winning the next game. Mental health is not part of his concern."

"Stay away from this Coach he has serious control issues. If your daughter makes one mistake and don’t do exactly what he wants he will tear them up at practice in front of the team just to prove his point. Your daughter will not be able to play without having fear of making a mistake with this coach. Don’t buy his sales pitch about your daughter being his top recruit because he will tell them exactly want they want to hear! I am thankful my daughter got out of there before it was too late!!!"

"Our daughter had a fantastic experience at KU and thrived under Coach Burstein. She understood expectations before she stepped on the field and worked very hard on her fitness skill levels as she really wanted play time. The PSAC is an extremely hard league with many good teams playing physical matches. Playtime is not guaranteed and he will play his top players. She developed strong leadership and communication skills under Coach and strong bonds with her teammates. KU is a great program and a hidden gem."

"I have really enjoyed my time playing for coach Burstein. You can tell he puts a lot of time into his job and his knowledge of the game is great. Despite his coaching ability and passion for coaching, he isn’t a great motivator. Once he has established his starters, it’s hard to get on the field which makes it hard to stay motivated. Then he expects you to be fit. Hard to be fit when you don’t play. "

"Reading some of these posts on Coach Burstein is really disheartening. Having personal experience with this program, I always question players who want to claim that Coach Burstein creates an environment where anyone is in an abusive setting. The straight fact is that all of these complaints are most likely from parents or players who don't or did not get much playing time. College athletics is not a rec sport and it is also optional! Players do not have to stay in an environment where they claim it is not good for their mental health. I think it is questionable and unreasonable that anyone would stay in this optional position for 4 years if it was really that bad, which makes the validity of these posts suspect. Coach Burstein and his coaching staff have been nothing but the utmost professional, dedicated, caring, passionate, and committed team of coaches I have ever been a part of! I advise anyone who hasn't had a favorable experience with this talented team of coaches to leave and look elsewhere. No one has to stay in an environment you are not happy in."

"I am an alumna of Rutgers-Newark (2004-2005) and played for coach Burstein during his brief spell at RUN. He took over a failing program with deep issues and brought us immediate success. His ability to adapt was out of this world and his knowledge and understanding of how to instruct the players was something special. We were all devastated when he left, but deep down we all knew he had the talent to coach at a much higher level. He is the best coach I have ever played for and I am forever grateful for what he taught me and our team. Not surprised to see all his success at Kutztown. He is exceptional on so many levels! "
