"I had an opportunity to be coached by Frezer for 2 years. I gained so much experience and learned to love the sport at a deeper level than I ever had before. He was loyal to us at our small school even though he could have gone to coach at several large schools. His workouts are constructed surgically, they WILL get you better if you buy in to his training plan. I have never felt more motivated to go through the hard stuff than when he was our coach. If you have an opportunity to be coached by him, take it. "
"This is the best coach I have ever had and if anyone thinks otherwise it is honestly on them for not trying to be better or just ultimately giving up on themselves. Hate to see people blame their failures on someone else, but when they succeed at something they give the glory to themselves. Coach is upfront and honest while training you to be the best athlete you can be. If anyone is looking for a coach to get them to the next level, it is this guy. Just look at the resume and explain how you couldn’t get better. Seems like a skill issue."
"Clearly passionate about running, but picks clear favorites on the team. If you aren’t one of his favorites, you’d almost be better off training solo. If you aren’t performing the way he thinks you should, he comes up with his own reasons and - regardless of whether or not it’s true - blames you for it. It’s never his coaching, or his training, it’s always the athlete’s fault, even when you literally do everything he asks. His team meetings get intense, and he gets himself really wound up to the point that he’s cussing out athletes over whatever it is that’s stuck in his head that day - again, regardless of how real the problem is.
The big deal though is he got fired for sleeping with an athlete. Technically she wasn’t on the roster, but she was still getting scholarship money and traveling with the team to race unattached - everyone on the team (and the school’s admin, apparently) thought she was officially an athlete. And for extra credit the runner he started a relationship with was the ex of one of the best leaders on the men’s team, only a month or two after they ended a year+ long relationship.
Frezer is completely morally bankrupt and I hope he never lands a coaching job again, he can’t be trusted around athletes"
