"Lacks organizational skills, terrible communicator, plays favorites, and will treat you horribly if she doesn't like you. She only connects with athletes she favors, and only cares about their mental health. We never finished practice on time, and as a result made many of us late for class. She would ask us in exit meetings for feedback on practices/coaching, but got mad and had an attitude when we asked to switch things up, or gave out honest opinion. Practice was actually not intense, and time was usually wasted. We never could get through a full practice plan because she had no concept of time management. With this being the second program she been with to be eliminated, this is probably a sign for her to choose a different career path. "

"Coach G was knowledgeable about the game and helped build a program. She helped me have a positive year and was thoughtful about creating a space to get to know players better. It was about what you did with that time that mattered a lot and i feel helped determine your experience. Practice was intense and focused and there was not much wasted time. She was passionate about making us better as hitters and knowledgeable. She operated old school in the sense that we had starters and non starters and the that’s not for everyone. Her decision to step on as coach at ART shows how much she cares as it poses challenges most schools do not have to think about. Everything she did made sense, but maybe it’s because i came from a prep program where there were limits on what we could eat and drink, like the nothing but water situation in hawaii. No soda at meals, and focusing on staying hydrated is nothing new at this level. She kept her personal and work life separate and did all of this with a positive attitude. Taking aside experiences with playing time, at the bare bones of her coaching style is love and passion. "

"With a new coach coming into my program after having another terrible coach, I can say she made my experience even worse. She has no idea how to coach an advanced team and when players try to express their POV she completely rubs it off in a rude manner and says we make excuses. As someone with an injury, I pushed through every practice doing everything she said and when I asked to red shirt she said “I was scared mentally to play and I’m not injured” even though I had literal doctors proof and mris saying otherwise. She lied to me as she said I would be a DH and only hit 5 times within 54 games. she’s a liar and manipulator. She made me cry before every meeting we had and after. Going to Hawaii? We weren’t allowed to drink anything but water and couldn’t have electrolytes unless we asked. I have medical issues and she said oh well and I had to eat what they told me. We didn’t get any information on anything until the morning of or at 11 pm. She had terrible favoritism towards certain people and it shows. I was scared to play and practice and eventually made me quit. When she contacted me asking I told her I was done and she unprofessional never responded. her skills level was low compared to travel ball teams I was on. She focused too much on the less important things rather than the things that need to be worked on. If you failed at practice, depending on who you were (favoritism) your whole round was over but some people got several opportunities. Didn’t care about certain injuries and didn’t care about the mental health of us athlete. I couldn’t do certain school work but still had to go to study hall so did 2 hours of nothing rather than getting an education. There are some more personal experiences that have traumatized me but I will leave it here. Good luck to whoever ends up with her as their next coach. "

"She does not know what she’s doing. She couldn’t pick a coaching style. She was way too focused on the wrong aspects of the sport. She claimed to create a positive atmosphere, but was the only coach I ever had who almost made me quit. She turned players against each other, played her favorites regardless of how badly they were doing, and would pick and choose whose mental health actually mattered, and who would be the punching bag. Good luck to the Art U girls that are stuck with her- program #2 to shut down?"
