"My daughter has played for Coach Wilson for 4 years. She has had high and lows throughout her career experience from being a starting player, to losing her spot, two season ending injuries and trying to fight her way back to the court through countless hours of rehab. What I can say watching your child go through this adversity is heart wrenching but the one thing that has given me peace is how Coach Wilson has supported her through it all. She truly cares about her players like they are her own and you can’t put a price tag on that as a parent. I will be forever grateful for all the lessons, guidance, and support she has given to my daughter through her collegiate athletic career. "
"Jaclynn is a really good coach. From the moment you join the team, you can tell she knows what she’s doing. She has a lot of knowledge about the game and experience as both a player and a coach, which helps you improve little by little.
She also cares about her players, not just in volleyball but as people. She pays attention to your physical and emotional well-being and is always there if you need support.
Another important thing is the environment she creates. The team culture is really nice, and it feels like a family where everyone supports each other.
Jaclynn is someone you can trust and rely on. She’s always there when you need her and shows it with her actions. I would definitely recommend her.I love her so much."
"she creates a fun and competitive environment, also is understanding and wants to have good relationships with her players on and off the court. super funny, smiley, and helps us have a good time even when doing the hard work you have to put into being a division 1 athlete. "
"Jaclynn has been the best coach I’ve ever played for. Before Jaclynn, I had lost the love of the game and ever since I started playing for her I have completely fallen in love again. Not only has she helped guide me to love the sport again. She has given me an incredible experience at UTM. She values you as a person and has personally checked on me when I wasn’t having my best days mentally. She’s always there for you on the court and especially off the court. She’s amazing!"
"Jaclynn has single handedly made me fall back in love with volleyball. I have had two season ending injuries since my time in her program and she has went out of her way to make sure I am okay physically and mentally. She cares for me and my teammates like we are her own kids and would do anything for us. To play under her is an honor and is the best decision I have made as a volleyball player. "
"Jaclynn is a wonderful coach and an even better person. I have never had a coach so understanding, loving, and intelligent. Being her player has made me a better person and volleyball player. As a new beach player she was able to develop and grow my skills in less than a semester to make me stronger and have a high IQ. I have never had a problem with the way she conducts her self or her program. Truly a legend. "
"Unfortunately will give your player an eating disorder. Controls nutrition way too closely and has admitted openly that “180lbs is obese”. It is sadly a team joke that she herself never eats, and when she does it is a nibble of a granola bar. Ontop of that, will put players in danger of injury, and if injured will not care or even believe them until major surgery is needed.
As for a beach coach, she started with no experience and rode to championships strictly because of the athletic ability of her players, not coaching or skill itself. On multiple occasions she has not known the correct rules or regulations for the sport she is coaching.
Fortunately for a few players, she picks favorites. If you make that short list you will be guaranteed playing time and never do any extra work and get any extra rest time you need. For the non-favorites, everything is strictly enforced.
Scheduling wise she does not work well with athletes who may need to take off from practice 30 min early for class. Absolute nightmare at remembering which players might be late to practice because of classes, and is too lazy to check schedules, so she’ll just call and text you 65 times until you answer, and then still make you run for being late even though you were in class.
Lazy, unempathetic, cruel, and a horrible communicator. Do not do it unless you have family money to make her happy or you hate yourself enough to give yourself depression. "
