"If you are looking for a coach to completely destroy your joy of the game single handedly, look no further than Coach Raut. As a past player, I can attest firsthand to the absolute s**t show of a circus that was run. An excellent coach when coming for one day for your visit, but an absolute nightmare to play under. When I was pursuing my STEM degree, when asking if I could attend my professor's office hours in the fall, which would require me to miss 10 minutes of lift, but was detrimental to my grade, he proceeded to criticized my lack of dedication to the team and instead suggested that I pursue a different, easier major such as sports marketing. Watching the culture of the team continuously deteriorate throughout my time on the team, was indicative of the lack of leadership and effort by the coaches, as I can state confidently that there was no lack of leadership by many of the elders on the team. If you enjoy running, look no further, even at some of the most detrimental parts of the season, he would find it more fitting to punish players for what could have been learning moments, rather than educating them, through grueling punishments, many of which would not end until unfortunately someone ended up getting injured, when he would emphatically blame it on the lack of conditioning, rather than his own foolishness. Many more, he has been coasting for a long time on a success built by an ambitious group of young men that has continued to carry his career as the John Carroll Men's Lacrosse coach, in which has been evident in his most recent season, in which he has failed to prepare a talented squad to succeed, and has thus far been running with a 2-6 record, which will inevitably fall to under .500. In complete honesty, a man who which I have personally fallen victim to the recruit overnight façade that Coach Raut is known for putting on, is unfit in many aspects to be in a head role of such a program and has demonstrated so with his conductance with previous and current players, as which, I know many others who share similar stories. The best advice I can give, is if you are looking to play under him, it is best to look elsewhere. "
