"It's been a decade since I played for Julie and I still get nightmares. I've thought about even reaching out to her to have a sit down one on one to let her know how much she tore me apart at just 18 years old. Going to play college water polo had been a dream of mine. If I would've known I would've been degraded as a woman right into my entrance of adulthood I would've never done it. She is the worst coach I had ever played for and I had some horrible coaches in high school. I think she forgets that she doesn't coach at a top notch D1 school and takes the fun out of the game and the passion from her players. Maybe her athletes would perform better if it was a more enjoyable experience. There's so much more I could say but I'm going to leave it at that. If approached to play for her DON'T! "

"Julie doesn’t know how to build a competitive and unity driven culture or utilize a roster to win or even compete in games. Dysfunctional would be the best way to address her coaching style, and tearing down her own players is something of a common occurrence. Even if culture wasn’t an issue, the lack of knowledge of the game, from subbing to fundamentals to drawing up plays out of timeouts shines in real time and in film. It is frankly embarrassing how ill prepared the team is for any game, and somehow the in-game adjustments are worse. I couldn’t tell you what is worse, her attitude to the players or the complete lack of understanding of the game of water polo."

Not only does she fail to build her athletes up but has no regard for them as people. She should never be a head coach and she should never coach water polo. "

"This Coach is now at CBU and tears her Athletes down. Most people who could take their 5th year left CBU to play somewhere else because of her. Telling possible recruits how bad her team is. those same recruits forwarded those emails to all of us girls. She changes her mind and she’s never consistent. My daughter cries after everyone one on one, all her teammates have nothing nice to say about Julie. She makes them feel bad about themselves. "
