"While Kati Nearhouse was once a good athlete, she does not make a good coach. She is scatterbrained, manipulative, and prioritizes fitness above all else-- including stick skills. She caters to favorites but will fat-shame others. She has said multiple times that she does not care about your education and tells you that field hockey comes before all else. This is a crazy take because she has a consistent losing record. She spent three years at McDaniel and had nothing to show for it. She's certainly passionate about coaching, but lacks the understanding that you have to recruit players to maintain and grow a program. In her third year of coaching, Kati was leading a Division III team in the Centennial Conference with a roster of about 13. "
