He coached at The United States Military Academy at West Point, Princeton University, The United States Naval Academy, The Head Coach at Seton Hill University and now is is an Assistant Coach at Howard University. He is a winner. Two MEAC Regular Season Championships, and three MEAC Tournament Championships. Three NCAA March Madness appearances and was a part of Howard's first NCAA win this season. "Coach Saunders is a good family man and cares about his players. I remember him taking cafeteria food and drinks to the players that were diagnosed with COVID during the pandemic while they were in quarantine. He also volunteered to help with Covid testing at the University. High character coach and mentor to his players. I wish I had more sons that could play for him."
