"It’s sad that the cycle is being repeated again over and over. What I mean by that is past player’s continuously being spoken on by ATUVB players. This is exactly what happened last year & started a lot of drama between both sides. And here it is beginning again. Me and others that are not with the program anymore are fed up with it and I’m calling the bs out. One girl currently on the team has been in contact with multiple players that have either been kicked off or have left the program. She has told them how a group of the girls on the team currently have been talking about them. Anytime and anywhere. It is completely sad and disheartening to hear this is going on. And she even said better yet the coach allows this type of behavior to continue. I was biting my tongue for long enough until I heard that this same player we thought was an alley is being two faced and also playing around with the gossiping. So I am calling this program out directly. If this does not stop legal action will be taken. We have text message proof, and voice recordings of this BLATANT DEFAMATION going on. The next step is serving this coach formally by a lawyer. PLEASE STOP TALKING ABOUT PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT THERE TO DEFEND THEMSELVES. "

Kera is be emotionally abusive in a variety of ways in volleyball. She use belittling or demeaning language, make unreasonable demands, and berates or humiliate players in front of others. She also uses fear, intimidation, and manipulation to control and dominate her players. Emotionally abusive coaches can create a negative and toxic environment, causing players to lose confidence and develop negative self-esteem. It's important for us players, parents, and other team members to be aware of these behaviors and to speak up if they witness or experience emotional abuse from a coach. It's also important for organizations and governing bodies to have policies and procedures in place to address and prevent emotional abuse from coaches.
Playing here at Tech I developed an image issue and even an eating disorder. She would make comments to me in my meeting privately how frail and weak I looked. I was told I needed to eat more and put on weight in the weight room. Instead of really asking me what was going on with me as a person. She would compare me to other girls and tell me who I needed to mirror in regards to body image. She would talk to me about other players and talk about how they were overweight or slow. I was really scared to say anything to anyone about these meetings because I know what the consequences would be. I would cry every night about the thought of having to be apart of that team. On days off I spent most of my time in bed sleeping to try and get away from the abuse. I am so glad I am finally away from this toxic program. I feel immense sadness for the girls currently on that team. I know lots of them are struggling and some have been conditioned to think she is an amazing person when reality she really isn't. I hope no one has to go through what me and so many others dealt with."

When in reality she brings up the negative constantly to us girls to make it seem like everyone is out to get ATUVB. It is honestly just a waiting game at this point. Waiting for you all to go into next season and lose every single game. "
"Kera needs an update on how to coach. She likes to belittle you in games and practices. I remember a game against harding she pulled a player out and screamed at her for jumping with the setter and we had lost the point. Kera then called a time out and yelled/cussed her out in front of the whole team. That player then went back in the game crying. It’s okay to be corrected as player however to cuss them out and tell them how stupid they were is not appropriate or acceptable in any way. Not only that but she would also threaten to kick players out of practice or games multiple times as if that’s going to motivate us. I believe kera needs to go to a coaching camp and take some notes on how to keep players instead of being a bully and running girls off. It’s a sad, miserable, toxic environment all because of the head coach who needs help herself. Don’t listen to her media post of how wonderful and grateful she is because its all just a sham, just like how it would be if you came on a visit and she promises you all this money and playing time. It’s just another way to manipulate people for playing there."
"I am a player that was at the prospect account that was held this past Saturday and I would like to share my experience with the Arkansas Tech Volleyball program. Coming into the camp I had very high hopes and expectations. Walking in the Tucker Collisium gym catches your eye very well. It is so big and bright that it really does make it a pro about this University. Everything else felt off though. It was very disorganized. The girls that were running the camp seemed very groupie and cliquish not only with the girls trying out but it seemed like there was an inner circle just within the team. Not all of the girls were like that there were a few that were very nice and helpful throughout the camp session. But it seemed like the ones within the group were very distant and not very willing to engage with us or even their own teammates unless they were within their group. During the camp, I felt very disoriented. It looked like the coach did not prepare very well for the session and the girls running it had little to know idea what was going on. I felt very out of place and felt like there were other prospect tryouts I would rather put my time and money towards before this one. After sitting down with my family and finding this review page I wish I could have found it sooner. After reading the last review about the tryout I felt that a lot of it was true. I would not have attended if I had known what it was going to be like. "
"Kera Dukic is using the Arkansas Tech Volleyball page via Instagram and Twitter to follow personal pages. She follows past players she has either let go or has transferred to stalk and see what they are up to. She follows personal Instagram accounts that have little to no personal connection to the program. It's just chaotic. Kera go follow these accounts on your personal Instagram, why are you following these accounts on ATU volleyball? This is a poor look for the program and it just proves my point further that you use Arkansas Tech's social media accounts as a personal account for you. That is not how college team socials should be used. Also, how come you follow athletes on your Twitter but won't let anyone follow you on your personal Instagram? Sounds shady and a double standard if you ask me. "
"Tonight we have to work a “college tryout”. Basically it is a tryout where college athletes can come that are either JUCO prospects or wanting to transfer from the current team they were at. But for Kera it is a money grab. Last season we ran this and she was so dismissive to the girls trying out. She had no plan and it was completely disorganized. She makes us run it and gives no sense of direction until about 5 minutes before we start. Last season, we were in desperate need of a middle. We had some girls that came and she didn’t take any of them. Down the road she took an outside hitter but she didn’t take any middles. She instead takes a player from another sport that hasn’t touched a volleyball since high school and is a junior in college. I find It completely disrespectful. Not only did these girls drive hours and dedicate their time and money to this not knowing Kera wasn’t planning on taking anything from them but $$. She takes someone that already plays a sport at tech instead of girls who have dreamed all their life at playing at the next level. It’s ridiculous and a money grab. Don’t fall for it. She has to have these money fundraisers because she can’t manage her money and has 23 + girls on the team. Please go to a program where you are actually wanted. "
"I wonder what kind of nonsense is in store for us as we make our way back to Russellville for Spring Semester. All Coach Kera does is talk bad about our team mates in front of us in her office, expect us to comment because we want to please her and then we feel bad because we just betrayed our team mate. If we don't comment or gossip with Coach Kera, then we feel bad because we disappointed Coach Kera. It's a no win situation. This Coach Kera is bad leader for young women and I wish ATU Athletics would do something about this situation. Everyone says they are concerned about mental health but talk is cheap. "It’s a New Year & we need a NEW volleyball coach going into 2023. Someone who is qualified and knows what leadership skills are needed. The team will be heading back soon. To a life full of hell this spring season. She makes them do rigorous training that SHE controls. She tells the team they are the most in shape. Well Kera if we are the most in shape? Why do we still lose to these other teams. I mean look at her? Would you take training advice from her? Ugh I cant with this mess, and the cycle will just continue…"
"I am embarrassed to be associated with Arkansas Tech Volleyball and Coach Kera Dukic Coleman. I feel like I made a very poor decision to be a part of this volleyball team and to be associated with this coach. I wish that I could go back my senior year of high school and make different decisions. I had other opportunities to play volleyball at other schools and I wish now that I had chosen a different program. "
"Not a fan of Coach Kera Dukic Coleman and the ATU Volleyball program. The reasons are
* inappropriate relationship with an ATU football players her first year as head coach at ATU volleyball
* DUI her second year as head coach at ATU volleyball
* multiple NCAA violations involving letting players stay in her guest bedroom, buying individual player meals without buying the entire team meals, etc.
* encourages ATU volleyball players to falsifies volunteer hours on Helper Helper app so we can WIN against other ATU athletic teams - which we do but it's 75% lies
* constant state of drama that Coach Kera is the source, constantly pitting girls against other girls thinking that creates a more intense level of competition BUT it does NOT, it just creates lack of team trust and division
Bottom line, it's a bad environment and I would NOT recommend this Coach nor this volleyball program.

"Coach Kera is obsessed with social media - including all of the volleyball teams in the Great American Conference. We played Oklahoma Baptist away on Oct 14th and they photographed a big block from one of their middles right at the net. Oklahoma Baptist Volleyball posted that on their Twitter page with a picture of our hitter getting blocked and a caption that said "Welcome to the Block Party." We lost that game and Coach Kera pulled the ATU hitter from the Twitter photo and showed her the tweet and said she should be embarrassed. Coach Kera did this right after the game in the locker room in front of all the ATU players. She didn't review anything else about the game. She acted as if that one block at the net was the only reason that we lost those 3 sets. Coach Kera bullied this player for a few days about this Twitter post. It's a very bad environmnet. "

"This coach is a real life Hitler. After last season we lost a captain since she graduated so we only had one captain going into the spring. Coach Kera made another girl captain just for spring. After spring she told all the incoming players and current players for the fall that 2 girls showed “amazing” leadership skills and would be the captains for the fall. WTF we never got to vote on captains. A college team and you can’t even VOTE on captains? What are we in middle school? This past season turned out to be an absolute mess because of these captains. One showed no leadership skills and the other was having meetings in the locker room cussing players out telling them to “get the f*ck” off this team if they were talking to girls that left last year. the captain before that was amazing. She showed phenomenal leadership skills and wasn’t afraid to stand up to kera and to anyone on the team if something was wrong. It will be interesting to see who is captain next year. She loves to have captains who can sh*t talk with her in the locker room. They told us some of the convos she would have with them about other players. It’s sad. Who sits around and talks about others like that. Kera you have eyes and ear everywhere. "

My response to that is have you ever seen the term “hurt people hurt people”. The way I see this is if this coach isn’t as bad as you all think why do people invest all their time into this? Granted, I did carry the team into a GAC championship but once we got to the first round of NCAA, we shit the bed and got sent home. "Look at Kera Dukic's rosters from her second season at ATU to current. She OVER-RECRUITS and has a super high # of athletes on her roster because she has a very high turnover. Kera Dukic DEPENDS on having a high # of girls go into the NCAA transfer portal every season because that's the only way she can manage her budget. She has no money mangement skills at all and she needs that high turnover every season to balance the check book. It's the very reason you see a ton of reviews on this site about scholarship $ - how she tells you a # but the real # is lower or she promises to pay for a summer class but then your tuition statement from OneTech is never credited the $ for that class. The entire program is an embarrrassment. "

"Worries about off court things but can’t even maintain and winning record. How do you go from GAC Conference champs to 8-22? Oh ya cause you focus on manipulating and controlling young woman. "After exit meetings this season Coach Kera had a meeting with all of the current team members about spring. In this meeting she talked about the girls that entered the transfer portal or that she “released”. She lied to the girls that she kicked one girl off but in reality the player left on her own terms. The others she said she had to let go of. She said it wasn’t an easy decision. She then goes to say she has never kicked girls off at all throughout her whole coaching career. After, she makes a reference, “The future is so bright for us golden suns”. My response to that is, you’re absolutely right kera. Your 8-22 record really reflects that right? Like they always say “ it’s only up from here when you’re literally at absolute rock bottom.” You’re ridiculous and pathetic. I just laugh at you and how to approach coaching. You are the absolute WORST coach I have ever seen. And your 24% approval rate on here reflects it pretty accurately. Time is ticking coach, it is only a matter of a few more seasons of 8-22 records until you are kicked to the curb. And the day that comes will be the absolute best day of my life. :)"
"I don't recommend this program. I came into this program as a freshmen at about a 7 in skills and I wanted to get better. Improve during the season and aspire to be at least a 9. However, this program has so much drama and so little focus on actual volleyball skills that by the end of my freshmen season, I had gone backwards to like a 5 in skill sets. They say "Iron sharpens Iron." You will not get better in this program at ATU Volleyball under the leadership of Kera Dukic. It will be a waste of your time and it will cause you to go backwards. I was able to transfer and find another school after 1 season of Kera Dukic and during the spring season at my new school, I worked hard to get my skill sets back and was able to improve my sophmore season under a head coach that is professional and not consumed with a bunch of drama. "
"I am a former athlete here at Tech. I played another sport here when it was Kera's first year at the university. Abby Davis was also filling in the role of acting Athletic Director. My coach one practice pulled us guys aside as a group about Kera. He told us there was talk of a rumor circulating around campus about Kera having a relationship with one of the Tech athletes on campus. What had happened was they were both at a bar/club and met. They then started to hang out and text each other. The football player then started showing an exchange of pictures and texts between the two. This got reported to Abby Davis and instead of looking into this, she did nothing. She covered it up. Kera had claimed she didn't know he was a Tech athlete when she had met him. She had all the coaches address their team. So our coach told us it was being looked into but to stop talking about it. He never told us if it was true or not which was concerning. "

She has a fake account she uses on Snapchat to see what the players post. It is creepy and not allowed. Why do you need to make fake accounts to see what your players post? "If you want to get better and feel like you are in a college-level program please do not come here. Coach Kera has 0 knowledge about athletes' bodies and how to train. For spring and summer testing she makes the girls run all of the coliseum stairs in under 2 minutes. This is stupid because volleyball players should be working only on agility and speed training time not running stairs. She also makes the girls jump rope for 10 minutes straight. This is dumb as well because the girls then result in doing a boxer jump or a two-step jump which takes the whole point out of it. "
"Went to the ATU basketball game on Dec 1st at Tucker and Coach Kera doesn't even speak to any of us volleyball players. She couldn't even be bothered to walk over to where we were sitting as a team and wave from the floor to say HI. She is so rude. She has developed such a negative culture for this team that nobody knows who they can trust and if they can talk to certain people in front of coach or not for fear that she will get upset. If you talk to people that she hates, then she considers you not on her side and a betrayal to her. It's a very bad, very negative environment. "
