Literally don’t have enough good things to say about him.. he will challenge you everyday to get better. If you don’t like that as a parent or player, go somewhere else that will hold your hand and tell you it’s okay. If you want to see what you’re truly capable of, go play for Kevin Tidey."

He will give you an opportunity if you deserve it, and gives players great opportunities to prove themselves in mid-week JV games and if you perform you’ll get your opportunity. Overall, he is a great coach that I would gladly choose to play for over and over again."

"Davenport University has one of the finest baseball facilities in the entire GLIAC conference However where incompetency looks for a scapegoat, a toxic environment exists. Some young men have witnessed in disbelief, the ire of a conflicting leader. Young athletes deserve and parents expect, a knowledgeable caring mentor, an inspiring role model, who always puts his players in the best possible position to succeed. Wise men say never stay where you are constantly disrespected, go where you are appreciated. Perhaps this is why over recent years, many young men opted to transfer from DU baseball, only to excel in their athletic and academic ambitions in a program with higher standards, where good men with moral character and leadership skills are recruited by capable Athletic Directors. "

"Athletic administration and Kevin Tidey knowingly allowed 14 players to play while being ineligible in a season they won the conference and made it to a regional. Openly allowing cheating is the only way Kevin Tidey wins. A mom could actually coach better. The NCAA should investigate the open CHEATING Davenport allows for two sports: Baseball and football. The only way they can compete is to cheat. It’s shameful how the athletic department covers this all up!! Someone from the NCAA needs to investigate this. "Not a good coach but a decent talker. Can’t coach improvement in anything bc he doesn’t know anything mechanical but the school allows more scholarships than anyone else so not surprised on the talent he can get and unlimited resources makes it easier. I think my mom could manage the team just as well but he is the ultimate bullshitter. Tidey was a terrible baseball player so not surprised to see he’s not good with anything fundamental. "
